The Mother City is set to transform into a hub of creativity and craftsmanship as the highly anticipated Cape Town Furniture Week (CTFW) returns for its third edition from 19 to 22 February 2025. This year’s theme, “Discover Design in the City,” invites attendees to engage with Cape Town’s dynamic design landscape, uncover the unexpected, and explore new creative horizons.
From emerging designer-makers to established brands and international exhibitors, CTFW 2025 promises an inspiring mix of talent and craftsmanship set against the backdrop of the city’s unique urban fabric. With 80 exhibitors, including top designers and brands, there’s plenty to see. Venues are spread across five walkable districts in the City Bowl, with a festival hub at Church House (St George’s Cathedral Annex) hosting the New Design Exhibition and pop-up installations.
Expect a diverse range of participants showcasing cutting-edge design and innovative craftsmanship.
CTFW 2025 features an expanded programme packed with insightful talks, exclusive launches, and curated tours. The official programme includes:
- CTFW Design Talks Conference – A series of thought-provoking discussions featuring industry leaders.
- CTFW x VISI Design Prize Awards – A prestigious, invite-only event celebrating excellence in design.
- Behind-the-Scenes Tours – Exclusive access to some of Cape Town’s most inspiring design studios and workshops.
Opening Night (19 Feb, 17:00 – 20:00): Explore multiple venues in a lively setting.

- Saturday: 10:00 – 14:00
- Factory & Workshop Tours: Held in areas like Woodstock, Salt River, and Observatory.
Cape Town Furniture Week is free to attend, but some events require registration. Trade attendees get early access to the programme this week, while the public can access it next week.
