Thanks to the BASA PESP-3 presidential stimulus programme, young arts writers can apply to complete a virtual residency in collaboration with Klyntji.com, Breinstorm Brand Architects and IQOQO, an online platform that connects creatives with networking and funding opportunities.
Successful candidates will form part of the Arts Story Incubator programme where they will be supported by arts writers from Klyntji.com. Writers will be expected to complete a set amount of work in exchange for payment and the opportunity to be published on IQOQO and/or Klyntji.com .
To apply, fill in the form below and submit an example of your writing and your CV. English writers, as well as those writing in all variants of Afrikaans are welcome to apply. Under the presidential stimulus programme, black women under the age of 30 will enjoy preference.
The virtual residency programme is open to writers with a formal degree or diploma in journalism or languages OR in any of the following fields: animation, architecture, design, fashion, film, gaming, museums, visual arts or XR (virtual reality), or that can demonstrate experience in these fields and good writing skills.
Applications will close on 30 June 2023. The virtual residency will commence on 3 July and run until 1 October 2023.
