What is IQOQO?

IQOQO is a Zulu term, meaning “collection” or “to collect”.

Started in 2020 by The French Embassy and the French Institute in South Africa (IFAS), IQOQO is a reference platform for South Africa’s creative and cultural industries, with a specific focus on fashion, museums, design, architecture, visual arts, XR (incorporating AR and VR), animation, film and gaming.

The idea behind IQOQO is to offer a digital platform for local and international audiences who would like to understand how these industries are structured, who the key players are, and to initiate contact.

IQOQO is a tool for professionals, artists, designers, institutions, associations, startups or students in the creative and cultural industries. Our goal is that it becomes a means to connect, initiate collaborations, and amplify the vibrant work that is already being done in these industries.
